First, with the help of safety pins, pin the excessive amount of fabric up to your desire length.

Start marking along the folded line with help of a tailor chalk and start unpinning the safety pins but don’t worry to that you will have to do it again that’s why we are marking it along the folded line, with a help of a ruler connect all the marks. Do this for both legs

Tip. To do the line on both legs you are going to use a ruler and chalk and follow this easy steps below.

We are going to measure how much is the hem to mark down from line “A”, in our case we are going to mark down 2 inches this is line B. From Line B we are going to mark up 1/2 for the inner hem. Since the hem itself is 1 1/2 inches and the inner hem is 1/2 it will be equal to 2 inches.

Cut along Line B and fold to Line C and start basting all around for both leg.Tip: Baste line c because it will help the fabric stay still when you are sewing the hem.

You are going to fold line A and start sewing the hem.

After you are done sewing the hem, you are going to steam the bottom to give it a professional look and unstitch the baste that you did and you are done. I hope you love your final result.
